SMITHSONIAN PROVIDES ‘IMMEDIATE TRAINING’ AFTER KICKING OUT CATHOLIC SCHOOL GROUP [4]
The Smithsonian Institution required staffers at the National Air and Space Museum to undergo training after a group of Catholic school students were told to remove their anti-abortion hats in order to enter the museum last month.
The incident reportedly happened on Jan. 20, after the annual March for Life, an anti-abortion protest that draws hundreds of thousands of demonstrators every year. Museum staff told the group of students from Greenville, South Carolina, that they could not stay in the museum if they did not remove their matching hats that said “Rosary PRO-LIFE,” according to the American Center for Law and Justice, which is representing the mother of one of the students.
In a statement to the _Washington Examiner,_ National Air and Space Museum spokeswoman Alison Wood said the museum apologized to the group members for asking them to remove their hats.
“Asking visitors to remove hats and clothing is not in keeping with our policy or protocols,” Wood said. “We provided immediate training to prevent a reoccurrence of this kind of incident and have determined steps to ensure this does not happen again.”

THREE WITCHES WALK INTO A CATHOLIC SCHOOL…SADLY, THIS ISN’T A JOKE. [2]
This is a case of phenomenally bad judgement. Really really bad judgement. However…it does say something about Catholic education and our culture at large which I think may be important.
NY Post: A visit from three Wiccan witches at a Pittsburgh-area Catholic high school caused furor when they doled out crystals for students to take home — prompting an apology from the school, who urged parents to cleanse their homes with prayer.
The career and college counselor who invited witches Tamra, Tabitha, and Kari Latshaw to North Catholic High School to speak about their experiences as women business owners was canned this month over the sorcery scandal.
The witches, who own the Sewickley shop Elemental Magick, spoke during the unnamed educator’s marketing class before holiday break, KDKA reported.
Michelle Peduto, a secretary at the Diocese of Pittsburgh, told KDKA that the Elemental Magick witches’ presentation got “off the rails” when the presenters gave the students crystals.
Peduto said the gifts, which were similar the objects sold at Elemental Magick, troubled the students because “we know our faith is in Jesus Christ and not in objects necessarily.”
“Rosary beads? Yes, but crystals no,” she clarified.
Peduto claimed the students reported the incident to administrators, prompting an internal investigation. The school subsequently sent an apology email to parents, advising them to throw out the crystals and cleanse their homes by reciting the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel.

MARK HOUCK PRAYS AND EXPRESSES GRATITUDE AFTER HIS ACQUITTAL IN FEDERAL COURT
PHILADELPHIA (LifeSiteNews) — Pro-life activist and Catholic father of seven Mark Houck said he was “so grateful” after he was found not guilty Monday of both federal charges lodged against him over a 2021 sidewalk altercation outside an abortion clinic.
“I’m just so grateful for the men that [God] has surrounded me with,” Houck told reporters outside the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Monday, throwing his arms around the members of his legal defense team who helped him present his side of the case during the brief trial.
Outside the courthouse, Houck prayed along with his family, legal team, and pro-life supporters, referencing Matthew 19:26 in affirming that with God and through the power of prayer “we can do anything.”

HARRISON BUTKER GIVES ‘ALL GLORY TO GOD’ AFTER KICKING HIS TEAM TO THE NFL SUPER BOWL [3]
Butker, one of the league’s most consistent kickers, is a devout Catholic and regularly attends the Traditional Latin Mass.
(LifeSiteNews) — A Super Bowl-winning kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs said his greatest goal is not winning more championships but helping his family get to heaven and using his platform to defend the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM).
“I think God has definitely given me a platform,“ Harrison Butker told Catholic News Agency when asked why he is speaking out about the restrictions on the TLM. “He’s given me a voice for a lot of people that aren’t able to voice their opinions. I put so much into being the best kicker I can possibly be and for whatever reason, God has allowed me to continue to be successful as a kicker.” He appears in the Mass of Ages film and serves at the TLM.
He said his successful career has given him a “pedestal” and he has “a responsibility to raise awareness to different issues that I think God wants me to bring to the forefront. And the Traditional Latin Mass is definitely one of them.”
The NFL kicker said he believes many of his fellow Catholics who are devoted to the TLM feel “frustrated,” cast out, and “persecuted for their love of the traditional sacraments.” He has two children and is concerned about their future access to the traditional sacraments.d Slobodnik
